In Grade R learning happens through play.  This helps children to develop social and cognitive skills and for learners to mature emotionally.

The purpose is to prepare the child for Grade 1. We believe in the holistic development of the child.

The Grade R group consists of 6 teachers who teach in well-equipped classrooms. They are assisted by 3 class assistants who alternate between the 6 classes.

The school employs a social worker, an occupational therapist and clinical psychologist. Barriers are identified early and referred to the relevant therapists immediately.

The daily program starts at 07:45 until 13:15. We make use of external coaches to teach sports skills.
